⭐ 国の経済の発展に尽くすために、日本で経済学を学ぶつもりだ。というのは、マレーシアは農工業国である。農産物が主要な輸出品で、常に農産物の価格が上がったり下がったりする。それが区のの経済成長に対して大きな影響を与えている。

「というのは」is used to add onto the previous sentence to explain further the cause or reason. In this case, removing「というのは」is acceptable and the passage can still be read and understood with clarity. There are many cases where「というのは」can be omitted.

「というのは」is often used in spoken language. When in a thesis, report, etc., because of formality,「というのは」does not fit within that writing style. Because of this, 「なぜなら~からだ」is necessary. 「なぜなら」is used in written language, but if used too often, it sounds like "translatese," or 翻訳調. This is also a reason why it sounds unnatural when spoken.

なぜなら→というのは(~からだ)

❌ 日本語は、「は」と「が」が難しいです。なぜなら、私の区ののことばには「は」と「が」がありません。
✅ 日本語は、「は」と「が」が難しいです。というのは、私の区ののことばには「は」と「が」がないからです

Not using「からだ」at the end softens the writing. Using「からだ」makes the reasoning sound stronger when explaining something.

Because「というのは」is used for the reasoning of explanations, often「からだ」comes at the end. In the last example,「んです」is used.「んだ/のだ」are used when explaining a reason, but in order to clearly explain something,「~「からだ」is more appropriate. 「んだ/のだ」aren't appropriate to use with「というのは」, because it is to explains something in more detail and not just to explain a simple reason.

Points to Note

Not using「からだ」with「というのは」is common. It's good to practice writing sentences to always remember this "set" of grammar points.

Like the Chinese 「是因为」, English has the word "because," which does not have another word that goes with it. Because of this,「からだ」often gets omitted among not just Chinese native speakers but also English speakers.
